iPads now support folders. To use, hold down your finger on the app you want until it moves, drag that app atop another icon, and finally, let it go. When you do that, it creates a folder containing the two apps and labels them with an appropriate category. Then, you can rename the folder.
When accessing a remote server, your iPad uses a VPN network. This can be activated from the network tab under settings. Then, you’ll need to put in a username and your server address. If you lack the server address, ask a network administrator.
Which apps are running? While you work on other things, some apps will continue running on your iPad in the background. If you want to see what else is running on your iPad, just double-click the Home button. A bar will appear that shows all apps running on the system. Press the Home button again or swipe down to clear the bar.
If you are sick and tired of being notified of a local Wi-Fi connection, change your settings. You will find an option that says to ask if you want to join networks. Turn that setting off, and you will finally be rid of the constant notifications.
You should adjust your settings to preview more than a few lines of the emails you receive. The Preview setting is Located under Mail in your general settings. If you select five lines, you will be able to get a good idea of what your emails are about before you open them. This allows you to tailor how much you’ll see in the Mail app and lets you skim through your mail more efficiently.
