Whether you’re a professional photographer or just someone who takes photos for fun, the type of camera you use can have a profound effect on the quality of the final images you produce. And 2022 looks to be a big year for new camera releases. We can expect to see new mirrorless systems from Panasonic, Sony and Canon competing for attention. And we can even expect to see new cameras like the Insta360.
Canon EOS R7C
The Canon EOS R7C is a new camera from the company, and it has a number of appealing features for the enthusiast photographer. One of these features is its in-body image stabilization, which is important for photographers, especially those who use large telephoto lenses in dim light. The camera also has a RF-mount, which allows it to attach an RF-compatible lens.
The R7 is an APS-C camera and is about a third the size of a typical DSLR. It weighs just over a pound with the battery, and is 5.2 inches wide and 3.6 inches high. Its body is comfortable to hold, and it has a large and ergonomic grip. It’s a great choice for beginners and those who want to try out APS-C cameras.
In 2022, the company is expected to release three new EOS R bodies. One of them will be an APS-C camera with a backside-illuminated sensor. The other two are full-frame cameras with RF mounts. The APS-C camera is expected to be available in the second half of 2022. In addition to the R7C, Canon is also expected to launch an entry-level full-frame camera. It could be a replacement for the Canon EOS RP and R5. Alternatively, it could be a mid-range body with a small number of high-end features.
Nikon Z30
Nikon’s new Z30 camera is designed for portrait and video photography. It features Eye-Detection AF to automatically focus on people and animals. The camera also supports Full-time AF, which continues to focus on the subject even when it’s moving. This helps photographers capture lively facial expressions in photos and videos. The camera also features a touch-sensitive vari-angle LCD, which makes it easy to view the image and check for blurred edges in selfies. The camera’s versatility also includes a high-angle lens for overhead shots.
The Z30 has a compact size and an impressive battery life of 330 shots. It is also capable of recording 125 minutes of 1080p video and 35 minutes of 4K video. It uses a USB-C port to charge its battery. While there are few new features to be found in the Nikon Z30, it promises solid photography performance. The Z30 has a mechanical shutter with 11 fps, and a hybrid phase-detect AF system. In addition, the camera’s Video AF mode uses full-time autofocusing when recording video.
Besides the features and performance, the Nikon Z30 offers a great video mode and improved image quality compared to the Z50. It has 20 creative picture control options, which allows photographers to adjust brightness, contrast, and more. It also supports slow-motion video, which is useful when shooting fast-moving subjects. It also comes with three user-selectable modes on its mode dial, and users can assign the camera settings to the Fn buttons.

Additionally, the X-T40 will likely include an image-shift high-resolution mode.
Sony A7R V
Sony’s A7R V is expected to be its next flagship camera, coming with a 102MP image sensor. This would make it the first camera with such a high megapixel count. However, Sony will need to price the camera competitively if it hopes to remain at the top of the mirrorless camera market. The Sony a7R IV launched at $3,498. The new camera would compete with other brands such as Canon and Nikon.

Olympus Pen E-P7
The Olympus Pen E-P7 is the company’s new camera for 2022, and is capable of recording videos in 4K resolution at up to 30 frames per second. It also supports uncompressed HDMI output. However, it lacks some important features, such as an onboard mic and a viewfinder. However, it can be used for selfies and vlogging.
The Olympus Pen E-P7’s image quality is very good, and it also shoots a good video. The images are bright and display the same dynamic range as previous offerings. It is also more compact than most full-frame cameras.
Another improvement is the E-P7’s LCD, which is touch-screen. This makes it easier to compose shots from different angles. It also makes taking selfies easier. It also boasts a long battery life, which is especially handy when travelling.
Sony Xperia 1 II
The Sony Xperia 1 II camera features three 12Mp Exmor RS sensors and effective focal lengths of 16mm, 24mm, and 70mm. The camera is stabilised and offers a variety of automatic shooting modes. Users can also choose manual ISO control and shoot Jpegs or raw files.

This feature is also useful for detecting faces when you’re not looking directly at them.
The camera on the Xperia 1 II is also capable of capturing video that is pleasing to watch. The camera is also more powerful, with 12MP Exmor RS mobile image sensor. This sensor is bigger than its predecessor and offers a wider dynamic range. In addition, it supports 4K HDR, which is an important feature for video shooters. The new smartphone also comes with a new Videography Pro feature, which lets you adjust settings during the recording process.

However, this camera does not come with a built-in flash. Nevertheless, it does provide great performance in RAW mode, allowing you to pull back highlights and recover shadows. This camera also has two SD UHS-II memory card slots and has a battery that is extremely efficient, providing 600 shots per charge.
The Fujifilm X-T40 camera will feature sensor-shift image stabilization. It will also be capable of shooting in low light. It will be a very affordable camera, making it the perfect upgrade for smartphone users. Its styling will appeal to vloggers and fashion enthusiasts.
