Samsung UN40H6400AF Review

We recently purchased a new Samsung UN40H6400AF plasma TV. Before we tell you about the TV’s benefits, let’s take a look at how the Samsung Smart Hub works. This feature is the same as the one on last year’s model, but with an improved user interface and more intuitive navigation. Besides the usual channels and applications, the Smart Hub has a dedicated Game tab. It lacks split screen mode, but it compensates for that by using dual-core processing.

Samsung UN40H6400AF

The Samsung UN40H6400AF is a 40-inch 4K Ultra HD television with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. This model also comes with a wide range of features, including 4 HDMI ports, 3 USB ports, an Ethernet port, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The screen’s 120Hz refresh rate reduces blurring, especially during fast action and side-to-side panning, and improves clarity. This feature is most noticeable during movies and sports programming, where fast action is often present.

While this edge-lit HDTV delivers a sharp picture with dark blacks and vibrant colors, it doesn’t get very bright. It also comes with a confusing Smart Touch remote that can be difficult to operate. However, this TV offers solid performance and is more affordable than the Panasonic TC-L55ET60.

Samsung UNF6300

The Samsung UNF6300AF sports a sleek and distinctive design. Like its sister, the UNF6400, it features a spider stand and transparent edging. The difference is in the stand and color, which are lighter gray. It also lacks the talking TV feature. In terms of picture quality, the Samsung UNF6300AF is quite good.

The color accuracy of this television is better than that of its rivals, including the Vizio and Panasonic. The Vizio washes out dark areas too much, while the Samsung matches it. The difference between the two brands is noticeable only when side-by-side viewing. The black levels of the Samsung UNF6300AF were light, while those of the LG were bluish and washed out.

The Samsung UNF6300AF falls in the mid-price-to-features sweet spot. It lacks the touch pad remote, but it makes up for that with a 120Hz refresh rate and a dual-core processor. The UNF6300 replaces the popular ES6100 model from last year. It is available now for $899.

This TV is Samsung’s third-cheapest Smart TV for 2013. While the PNF5500 and UNF5500-series models are a bit more expensive, the UNF6300 has many of the same Smart tricks as the more expensive models. Consequently, this TV is a great bargain.

Samsung 6300

When deciding whether to purchase this Samsung flat panel, it’s important to consider the features it has to offer. The Auto Motion Plus feature, which is turned on by default, is designed to make 3D content look better and eliminates natural background blur. If you don’t watch 3D content, however, you can turn the Auto Motion Plus feature off for all content. To turn it off, change the Blur Reduction setting to 10 and the Judder reduction setting to 0. Auto Motion Plus has a tendency to create a lot of blur, which causes an unnatural look to movement.

Black level is also an important feature, and Samsung’s H6400 exhibited excellent color accuracy. However, it showed a little blue shift, which is exacerbated by the fact that black levels are lighter. This was also apparent in other Samsungs, like the W850B and Vizio, but was not as extreme.

The Samsung UN55F6400AF doesn’t have the sleek design that many TVs have. However, it does have a thin cabinet with glossy black bezels and clear plastic trim. At the bottom is a slim Samsung logo. The unit has no buttons on the front, but a joystick button is located on the lower-right corner of the cabinet panel. The screen itself has a 1920 by 1080 resolution and is covered with a semi-gloss coating.

The 120Hz panel improves picture clarity. It also reduces the motion blur in fast-action scenes. This is especially noticeable in movies and sports programming. The 120Hz refresh rate also helps with side-to-side panning, resulting in a more realistic picture. It also reduces glare and eliminates the need for a brightness adjustment.

The Samsung H6400 is an excellent full-featured midrange TV. The H6350 has a similar set of features, but the H6400 remote is more convenient and useful. It has a smaller viewing angle, so it’s worth paying a little extra for the better remote. This model also has 3D and has great colors out of the box.

In addition to the 4K resolution, the Samsung UN40H6400AF also supports HDR content. It can also support USB devices. Its Anynet+ universal remote makes it easy to control your devices. HDMI is another notable feature, as it allows HD video to be transmitted over one cable.

The UN40H6400AF has a screen diagonal of 101.6 cm. It also offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It also comes with four picture presets. It has a class-leading Auto Motion Plus dejudder control. It allows you to change the amount of blur reduction and smoothness. Wi-Fi is also included, which means you can easily connect to your wireless network to access Smart TV features.
