Despite being the top-of-the-range TV in this new range, it’s priced surprisingly reasonably compared to similar-spec’d rivals. The 43-inch model costs PS399.

The UK4D brings a frameless design to the table but switches to Toshiba’s own operating system and offers Alexa voice recognition – which is available from Costco and Buy It Direct for £199.
UA3D
The UA3D is Toshiba’s flagship Fire TV set, which offers the full 4K experience and Amazon’s Fire OS as well as HDR and a slew of audio technologies. This TV is also the first Toshiba to launch with Alexa built-in here in the UK, so you can control it using your voice if you prefer.
It also boasts the same TRU Picture Engine for upscaling content, Micro Dimming and TRU Flow MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) technology. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support is also available on the UA3D.
On top of that, you get a slim frameless design, with Sound by Onkyo for a great listening experience. It also runs on Android TV, which gives you access to a huge range of apps and the Google Assistant built-in on your remote.
You’ll be hard pressed to find better-looking TVs than the X9900L, with its impressive display performance and Dolby Vision IQ features that dynamically adjust the brightness of the screen depending on room lighting conditions. The X9900L is also equipped with OLED self-lit pixels that deliver infinite contrast and a whopping 1000 nits of brightness.
Compared to other budget sets, the UA3D is an excellent value for money model and delivers a premium viewing experience that you won’t be disappointed with. It’s a great choice for those who like to stream movies and shows in their spare time, and it can also be used for gaming purposes thanks to its streamlined controls and Fire TV smart remote.
In addition to its sleek design and high-end features, the UA3D is also extremely durable, making it a great investment for those who love watching the latest blockbuster movies on their big screens. Its smart remote also offers far-field voice controls that enable you to navigate from one form of media to another.

LK3C

These models are priced between PS349 and PS399, with the 32in and 43in LK3Cs going for PS379 and the 55in LK3D for PS499 from Amazon, Argos and Currys. They have Toshiba’s TRU picture engine, Dolby Vision HDR and an Onkyo-designed audio system.
Another model in this range is the UF3D, which marks Toshiba’s first smart TV to feature Fire TV as well as its own operating system. It’s also available in the same sizes as the QA5D and UA3D, with prices starting at PS349 for the 43in model.
This is a less expensive alternative to the QA5D, but offers similar specs in terms of colour reproduction and support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It runs Android TV, too, so you’ll have access to plenty of streaming apps and Amazon Alexa voice commands.
The final model in this series is the LK3C, which – despite not being a 4K option – gets the same TRU picture engine and Dolby Vision HDR support as the other TVs.
