Toshiba’s New 2025 Toshiba TV

The new 2025 Toshiba TV is a step-up in picture quality. Using Quantum Dot technology instead of LCD colour filters, these sets should deliver more natural colours than ever before.

They’ll be available in 43-, 50- and 55-inch sizes from Amazon, Argos and Currys. Prices start at PS399.

X9900L

The X9900L is a flagship model with the latest tv technology, the new REGZA ENGINE OLED processor chip from Japan to perfectly control black, realistic colors, powerful sound, 120Hz refresh rate, fast response to watch action scenes, animations and games smoothly.

With a screen size of 65 inches, the X9900L has an Ultra Slim design with a thin edge. It is also lightweight and easy to carry, making it an ideal choice for any room.

It has the highest resolution of any OLED television, with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Its OLED display offers a wide viewing angle, making it perfect for watching sports and movies.

The X9900L also features VIDAA operating system, which allows you to stream your favorite content from all around the world. The X9900L is compatible with all major streaming services, including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and more.

Moreover, it can also be connected to other devices, such as smart phones and tablets, via its USB ports. You can also enjoy your favorite games on the screen of your X9900L, thanks to the HDMI 2.0 port.

Additionally, it can be operated with voice commands through the remote. This feature is especially useful for people who aren’t sure how to operate the X9900L.

It is also equipped with Dolby Audio, which will allow you to hear your favorite music even in the loudest of environments. In addition, the X9900L supports HDR, which will enable you to view your favorite images in high quality and rich detail.

QA5D

The QA5D is Toshiba’s new ‘premium’ TV line, offering intense colour and cinematic picture quality using the brand’s full TRU Picture Engine, including TRU Resolution powerful upscaling, TRU Micro Dimming and TRU Flow MEMC technology. It also supports Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio – which can be a huge plus for anyone who’s keen to experience a cinematic experience in the comfort of their own home.

Despite being the top-of-the-range TV in this new range, it’s priced surprisingly reasonably compared to similar-spec’d rivals. The 43-inch model costs PS399.

One of the key features that makes this set stand out from the rest is its use of Quantum Dots, a new type of LCD technology that uses tiny nanocrystals to increase the colour spectrum by up to 50% – making the colours more vibrant and ‘dynamic’. These nanocrystals glow when exposed to UV light, increasing their brightness and boosting the contrast of the screen.

Another great thing about the QA5D is that it is built on Android TV, which means you can expect a host of useful apps and extra smarts like Chromecast to help make the most of your TV viewing experience. The Google Assistant is also integrated into the set, allowing you to ask it questions and get responses with the click of a button.

This is a great choice for anyone who wants a smarter TV that can be used as a computer monitor, but it’s worth remembering that input lag can make games look jerky and unplayable on a flat panel screen.

The QA5D is available now in 43, 50, 55 and 65-inch versions from Amazon, AO, Argos and Currys with prices starting at PS399. You can also opt for the QL5D version that runs on Toshiba’s own OS but doesn’t have Alexa support – which will be available from Costco and Buy It Direct for an additional £349.

Meanwhile, the UF3Ds offer Amazon Fire TV support as well as TRU picture engine, Dolby Vision HDR and Onkyo-designed audio in the same sizes as the QA5D at PS369. The UK4D brings a frameless design to the table but switches to Toshiba’s own operating system and offers Alexa voice recognition – which is available from Costco and Buy It Direct for £199.

UA3D

The UA3D is Toshiba’s flagship Fire TV set, which offers the full 4K experience and Amazon’s Fire OS as well as HDR and a slew of audio technologies. This TV is also the first Toshiba to launch with Alexa built-in here in the UK, so you can control it using your voice if you prefer.

It also boasts the same TRU Picture Engine for upscaling content, Micro Dimming and TRU Flow MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) technology. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support is also available on the UA3D.

On top of that, you get a slim frameless design, with Sound by Onkyo for a great listening experience. It also runs on Android TV, which gives you access to a huge range of apps and the Google Assistant built-in on your remote.

You’ll be hard pressed to find better-looking TVs than the X9900L, with its impressive display performance and Dolby Vision IQ features that dynamically adjust the brightness of the screen depending on room lighting conditions. The X9900L is also equipped with OLED self-lit pixels that deliver infinite contrast and a whopping 1000 nits of brightness.

Compared to other budget sets, the UA3D is an excellent value for money model and delivers a premium viewing experience that you won’t be disappointed with. It’s a great choice for those who like to stream movies and shows in their spare time, and it can also be used for gaming purposes thanks to its streamlined controls and Fire TV smart remote.

In addition to its sleek design and high-end features, the UA3D is also extremely durable, making it a great investment for those who love watching the latest blockbuster movies on their big screens. Its smart remote also offers far-field voice controls that enable you to navigate from one form of media to another.

If you’re looking for a new television, there are many different options to choose from, including Sony’s 4K UHD OLED sets or the LG G1 with its Evo OLED panels. You’ll also find budget models from Hisense or TCL that will give you the same level of quality for less.

LK3C

The LK3C is Toshiba UK’s most basic line of smart TV, featuring a 1080p HD panel and running its own OS with a plethora of different services built in. It’s a great option for those who don’t have the budget to splash on a 4K model but want a TV that’ll give them some decent functionality and allow them to stream a variety of content.

The company’s top offering is the QA5D, which combines Quantum Dot technology with TRU picture engine support, Micro Dimming, and TRU Flow MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) for a cinematic-quality display. It costs PS399 and runs Android TV, giving you easy access to apps like Apple TV+, Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video.

It’s also available in 43-, 50-, 55- and 65-inch sizes. All of them have a Direct LED screen, while the 65in model is rated at up to 120Hz.

These models are priced between PS349 and PS399, with the 32in and 43in LK3Cs going for PS379 and the 55in LK3D for PS499 from Amazon, Argos and Currys. They have Toshiba’s TRU picture engine, Dolby Vision HDR and an Onkyo-designed audio system.

Another model in this range is the UF3D, which marks Toshiba’s first smart TV to feature Fire TV as well as its own operating system. It’s also available in the same sizes as the QA5D and UA3D, with prices starting at PS349 for the 43in model.

This is a less expensive alternative to the QA5D, but offers similar specs in terms of colour reproduction and support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It runs Android TV, too, so you’ll have access to plenty of streaming apps and Amazon Alexa voice commands.

The final model in this series is the LK3C, which – despite not being a 4K option – gets the same TRU picture engine and Dolby Vision HDR support as the other TVs. It also features an Onkyo-designed audio system and is a good choice for those who want a solid 1080p HD television that will still allow them to watch the latest TikTok videos.
